I would like to know why Payoneer checkout is not showing in payment by provider list despite my country (US) being part of the supported countries. Is it because I am still setting up the store under the unpaid trial option?
You’ll be able to see and add the available payment providers in your country even if you’re still in the trial period. To find Payoneer, you can follow the steps below.
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
Under Supported payment methods, click Add payment methods.
Click Payoneer Checkout and follow the steps they provided for the setup. If you haven’t signed up with them yet, please do so by contacting them and they will help you create an account and activate the payment gateway in your store.
If you’re unable to find Payoneer Checkout after following the steps above, please visit the help center and create a support ticket, so we can investigate!

from my understanding Payoneer Checkout only accepts at the moment companies that are registered in Hong Kong that is why it perhaps is not working for you.

Payoneer Checkout is currently only available for merchants with a Hong Kong entity, although support for other regions is coming soon. It’s a highly secure solution with advanced fraud protection, intelligent risk monitoring, and PCI DSS compliance.
