Having recently learned about the high cost of offering CCS ( live shipping rates) to my customers, I have decided to set these rates manually, zone by zone, country by country. Are there any potential issues I should be expecting when I go through this process as far as setup or customer experience? Thanks a bunch in advance

As of this Jan, you can no longer get CCS with a Basic plan. Must have at least a Shopify plan to get the CCS feed. The yearly subbed Shopify plan is $70/month + $10-20 for 3d party app, which you must have in order to display the live rates to your customer. So it’s $80-90/month
Oh got it. Yes, CCS is expensive that way.
I see no problem in setting up rates manually for all regions.
Btw, if your requirement is just to get live rates, Shopify itself provides live rates for some carriers like USPS, Canada Post, etc. without CCS. Have you checked that out?
I am in Portugal. DHL and Fedex are the shippers so setting manual rates seems yo be the most reasonable way to go. Will probably take a few days.
