Rate My Store

Good evening, It’s been almost a week since I opened my website. I have been getting some traffic passing through on my website after running a few facebook and instagram ads.

Can someone honestly rate my store and provide useful feedback?

https://shopskj.com/

A few customers have added to cart, but none have checked out as yet. I spent so much time fine tuning and making it pretty and much more obvious. The concept is customers can order online and select a date/time for a local delivery. (Currently only serving my local market).

Do let me know what needs to change/remove/improve? Thanks a million.

Hi @shopskj , thank you for posting here!

Once I visited your store, S Knowles Jewellery looked stunning and I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building it.
I wanted to share some general feedbacks for your store and tips on traffic and conversion with you here that you might find useful:
1. Redesign the Hero page- button:
The button on the hero page is very important for driving customers to your product collections, so it needs to stand out and have a truly attractive CTA text for customers. Currently, your button is solid black; I recommend adding some effects like shadows to give the button a raised appearance and changing the color to align with your brand’s concept to encourage customers to click on it more.
Additionally, instead of “Browse our collections,” you could use more appealing messages like “Limited stock available. Buy now to secure your item!”, “Grab yours today,” or “Get our new collections first,” etc.

2. Fullfil Our Favorite collection:
When I accessed your store, the Our Favorite section was not displayed, leaving a blank space. This makes the store look unattractive and creates a very empty feel, which can undermine the shop’s credibility. Therefore, I highly recommend that you add featured products from your store to this collection.

3. Revise the About Us page:

I noticed that your store’s About Us page is quite sparse. This page is significant as it helps customers understand your brand’s value and contributes to building trust when they purchase your products.

To improve your About Us page, you can refer to the following example:

4. Lacking Favicon Browse Tab

I notice that your store has no logo brand for the searching tab, I highly recommend that you create one to build trust and make your store more trustworthy.

5. Add key USPs section with key icons

Your current homepage lacks key information about products. It may increase the bounce rate as users don’t find important content they need. Helpful, easy-to-see benefits icons quickly introduce your products’ unique selling points, giving a reason to purchase from you instead of the competition.

Besides my feedback for your store, I could give you some general tips for increasing the conversion rate for your store. You can create a promotion strategy to engage customers more to improve the checkout rate of your store:

I trust these recommendations will assist in enhancing your website’s conversion rate.

Hi @shopskj ,

Thanks for sharing your store! It looks elegant and stunning, and I absolutely love your products. I took some time to go through the website and have a few personal suggestions that might be helpful:

  • Customer Feedback via WhatsApp: Have you received any customer feedback via WhatsApp? If so, that could provide valuable insights. If not, consider adding an online chat feature to collect feedback and address customer questions. This can be a great way to engage with your customers directly and promptly.
  • Product Detail Page: On the product detail page, the sizing information, delivery & shipping, and payment methods all lead to new pages. This could potentially frustrate customers who may not find their way back. It might be more user-friendly to present this information in a pop-up layer on the same page.

  • Call-to-Action Button: For the homepage, in the “Our Favorite” section, I suggest adding a call-to-action button for customers to add products directly to their cart, streamlining the shopping experience.

  • Targeting Local Customers: Regarding the traffic from ads, are you targeting the right audience, particularly local customers? Ensuring you’re reaching the right demographic could improve your results.

I hope these suggestions are helpful! Best of luck with your store!

If you find my suggestions helpful, please let me know by giving a like and mark it as a solution. Thank you.

Hi @shopskj ,

It’s Kate here from PageFly, a Shopify Landing Page Builder app. Congrats on launching! Your store looks fantastic and it’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought into it. I know it can be a bit discouraging if you’re not seeing the traffic or sales you’d like, so I wanted to share some tips that could help boost your store’s performance:

Homepage

Think of your menu bar as your store’s GPS. You should make it easy to spot so your customers can quickly find what they’re looking for. A clear and visible menu keeps them happy and exploring your store longer.

Another thing is making your announcement bar sticky, ensure it stays in view as your customers scroll. It’s a great way to make sure they don’t miss out on any awesome deals or important updates.

Finally, your customer reviews should be more visual! Try using a different background color for your testimonial section to make it stand out. It’s a simple way to build trust and show off the great things people are saying about your store.

Product page

First off, you might want to consider slimming down the navigation bar. If it takes up too much screen space, it can make it harder for customers to really take in the whole product page. By keeping the navigation bar more compact, you allow customers to focus on what’s most important—your products.

Another thing to think about is how you present your product information. Instead of redirecting customers to another page for details, keep everything on the same page. It makes for a much smoother shopping experience, as customers can quickly find the information they need without any extra clicks or interruptions.

And don’t forget about customer reviews! Just like on your homepage, adding reviews to your product pages can build trust and help persuade shoppers to make a purchase. Let your happy customers share their experiences right where it matters most.

Collection page

If each of your collections has only a few products, it might be worth combining them into one larger collection. This way, customers can see more options at once, which can make their shopping journey smoother and more straightforward. By minimizing the need for too many clicks or redirects, you keep their experience seamless and make it easier for them to find exactly what they’re looking for.

SEO

I have analyzed your store speed on Google PageSpeed Insights, and here is the result: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-shopskj-com/w28iyfmmqu?form_factor=desktop

Your score looks great on desktop, but on mobile, your store needs improvement. Here are some actions you can take:

  • Optimize or defer non-essential scripts to enhance performance.
  • Optimize images and use a CDN to improve load times.
  • Reduce and optimize JavaScript to streamline execution.
  • Load third-party scripts asynchronously or defer them to reduce impact.
  • Simplify the DOM structure and remove unnecessary elements.
  • Remove unused JavaScript to enhance loading efficiency.
  • Improve server response time by optimizing backend processes and implementing caching.
  • Stabilize layout shifts by ensuring stable dimensions for images and elements.
  • Compress assets and optimize file sizes to improve loading times.
  • Implement efficient caching for static resources.

Consider adding email capture features, like pop-ups or banners, to grow your marketing list. Highlighting current promotions or discounts effectively on the homepage and product pages can attract more customers. Acquiring backlinks from reputable sources and avoiding links from third-party or untrusted sites will help enhance your SEO.

Track user behavior, sales, and conversion rates using Google Analytics and Shopify Analytics. Actively seeking customer feedback and incorporating it into your improvements will help continuously enhance the shopping experience. These steps should enhance user experience, boost SEO, and ultimately increase conversions on your Shopify store.

By focusing on these areas, you can significantly enhance your store’s user experience and drive more conversions. I hope you find these tips helpful for your Shopify store. Let’s continue to support each other in optimizing our stores!

Cheers! Kate | PageFly Team
