Remove domain from shopify store because I have purchased a new domain and sold my old one

Okay, I sold my old domain and they were going to create a Word Press Site. But now they want a Shopify website so I need to remove it from my Shopify store.

They have the domain which was through GoDaddy. But I know when they go to set it up on Shopify, they will run into issues.

I purchased a new domain through Shopify, but I can’t remove the initial domain.
Thanks for your assistance,
Jamie

To remove a domain from your Shopify store, follow these steps:

Log in to your Shopify store and go to the Online Store section.
Click on “Domains.”
Find the domain you want to remove and click on the “…” button next to it.
Select “Delete domain.”
Confirm the deletion by clicking “Delete.”
If the domain you want to remove is still attached to an active subscription with GoDaddy, you’ll need to contact GoDaddy support to have them release the domain. Once it’s been released, you’ll be able to delete it from your Shopify store.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
