I was scammed by a shopify store. I ordered from an online merchant and received a confirmation email from “Novagear<store+92641820996@t.shopifyemail.com. I never received the product. I filed a dispute with my bank and they charged it back to the merchant and gave me a credit. The merchant supplied a FedEx tracking number to prove that the item was received by me. FedEx said the tracking number is fake. The bank reversed the credit they gave me because they said, according to the merchant, I received the item. I cannot get the bank to issue me a permanent credit to my account and permanently charge back the merchant. I cannot contact the merchant because they do not respond to my emails, probably because the email address is fake, and the website address is fake. Shopify - don’t you screen your merchants? Is there anything else I can to to get my money back?
Sorry to say there are many scammers, on both ends of the checkout… It’s so easy to set up a shopify store and scam people. Sorry to hear about the trouble you went through. Shopify isn’t exactly top tier when it comes to security. You can report the merchant here Report a merchant - Shopify
