Shipping address stuck on United States in checkout

I recently set up my shopify payment settings, but when I go to the order page to test it, the shipping address is automatically set to United States. Can anyone help me with this?

When the “Country/Region” field is greyed out it typically means that your store is only set up to ship to the region shown, in your case the United States. If you are shipping to more regions you will want to edit your shipping zones to include those regions. You can read more about setting up shipping zones here. If you haven’t set up your shipping rates yet, I’d also recommend taking a look at this guide on shipping rates.

Hey! Thanks for the reply, I had everything set up and my shipping zones were looking fine, so I tried removing United States from the shipping zone field, when I did this the country/region field wasn’t greyed out anymore. Ultimately, I had to separate United States from the rest of the shipping zones, which worked for me.

Hi, @lakshayhooda . Thanks for posting your question! I’m happy to help. Can you tell me more about the shipping zones you’re trying to create?

If the United States is already included in a shipping zone and you want to move it into it’s own zone, you will need to first remove it from the shipping zone it’s in. The steps to edit a shipping zone can be found here.

You can do this by going to Settings > Shipping and delivery in your Shopify admin. Next to the shipping profile you want to edit, click Manage. From here, click the … button next to the zone that you want to edit and select Edit zone from the dropdown menu that appears. This is where you can select which regions you want to include in the zone. If you want to remove the United States, make sure it is no longer selected and then click Done.

Once that’s done, you can create a new shipping zone for the United States by following these steps. To add a new zone, navigate to the same shipping profile you’re editing and click Create shipping zone. From here, you can name the zone and select the regions you want to include. Make sure to save your changes before exiting your shipping profile settings as well.
