Shopify payments for non resident

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well.

I have some questions regarding the eligibility of using Shopify Payments for my business. Here are the details of my situation:

  • I don’t live in the USA and I don’t have an American passport.
  • I have an LLC registered in the United States, with an EIN and ITIN.
  • My products are sourced from China, and I intend to sell them in the United States and Europe.
  • My business is not dropshipping; all products are stocked and managed from 3PL services.
  • I have business accounts with Wise and Mercury banks.
  • The products are shipped from China.

I understand that Shopify Payments requires businesses to have a physical presence in the United States. Could anyone provide guidance on how I can meet this requirement? Specifically, can this requirement be satisfied by appointing a nominee director or through other means? If necessary, I can arrange with a 3PL in the United States and ship from there.
