So I thought my transaction was safe using Shopify. Turns out this place is scam central?

I made a purchase at the beginning of the month, got charged immediately and got told it shipped. A week later, with no tracking info on this shipment, I contact the company, asking for an update. I get a response about how they supposedly use a non-tracked shipping method to save money for “promotional deals”, but that I was guaranteed to get this by Nov 22, no matter what. When I responded, asking how it was possible in 2021 to not have tracking info, I go the same answer. The company is called Telosier.

The 22nd has come and gone, and I have received no response at all to my last request. Digging deeper, I have found out that their FB page has been online for a month and has 1 post, mentioning how they changed their contact number. There are half a dozen people with the same issue, no products, and no response from the company. The Facebook page manager is from Pakistan, but the company is supposedly based in Virginia. That listed address gets me a company called Telos that is not at all involved in making “home decor”. Additionally, their “contact us” page is a direct ripoff of a pet supply webpage. I’m not really confident at my chances shopping using Shopify stores after looking at all of the reports of fraud…

I understand that it can be frustrating to wait longer than expected for an order to arrive, especially if the estimated delivery date has passed.

While many shipping methods include tracking information, there are still some lower cost shipping options that do not. To account for delays—particularly during this busy time of the year—I recommend waiting until it has been 4 weeks since you placed the order. At that point, contact the seller again to let them know so they can get in touch with the shipping carrier, as they might need to report the package as lost.

If it has already been 4 weeks since your order was placed and you haven’t heard back from the seller, you can contact your bank.
