Im wanting to create a specific type of automatic discount that Im not sure if you know of an app or something similar that can support this? I don’t think shopify can do it.
Im wanting to provide free shipping to a whole order “y”, IF and only IF, the customer buys a specific product, “x”.
So when they’ve got an order “y” and it’s going to cost them money for shipping, they have the ability to purchase “x” and it removes the shipping cost of the overall order. I want it to exclusively show that shipping has been removed and is now “free”
Does anyone know how they’d go about setting this up, or does someone have an app they use and it does this?
im wanting to have shipping removed, even if there is more than one product. So say there are 3 products, “a”, “b” and “c” in the cart existing and shipping… The customer is still paying for shipping. The total cost of the order is now = a + b + c + shipping.
The customer then decides they want free shipping on the whole order and to do so, they must purchase “x”.
By adding “x”, to the cart, the whole order now has no shipping cost. Therefore the total overall cost of the order is = a + b + c + x.

You can achieve ‘free shipping IF a certain product is added to checkout’ using Advanced Free Shipping
It allows you to create shipping discounts for a number of different checkout conditions, including the one you are after!
