I would like to get honest feedback on my site. I launched 6 months ago, and traffic/conversion is low. I understand it takes time to build growth. Currently receiving 20-50 views daily, with a few orders weekly. Everything up until now, I have done myself with endless hours - design, coding, all product pages, etc. and I’m not tech savvy by any means. I have done quite a bit of email marketing and tested Facebook Ads for a week, with no results. I recently decided to speak with some agencies to assist with SEO, optimization, fix slow loading, marketing, constant monitoring, etc., but that was going to be extremely expensive monthly and not in the cards at this time. I have tried using some of the Shopify SEO apps but haven’t had much luck with them. Products are on Google, but most products are several pages down. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Just a quick observation. Your header is way too big on mobile, it takes up almost half the screen. Also, the subcollections on mobile are single row so it takes a lot of scrolling. 2 per row on mobile is good. And not sure if you’re aware but the hydraulic control valves don’t have product images, just that Magister logo.
As far as Facebook ads, I’d first focus on a campaign that targets like/follow fb page, target a “World” audience, get your followers in the hundreds, then change to your target country and get some thousand followers, then run sales ads. Be aware that meta campaigns must learn. So a week is not nearly long enough to figure out who, where, and when to run your ad. Successful ad campaigns run for 3 months or more. 3 months of data will tell you more about what to change than 1 week.
hi. i checked your store. several feedback points from my side:
-
the overall design of the entire store can improve. as of now, my initial impression was that you have tried to add too many products, and text within a confined space. here, i am specifically talking about your home page. while that can work well in some cases, for your website, i felt it was overwhelming for the visitor. revisit your strategy. maybe you can add a hero banner on your home page at the top, share a bit about your brand, products, add customer reviews, etc., and keep it simple. as a suggestion, i would say, check shopify’s blog on best store designs. you will get an idea of what am i referring to.
-
that same applies to product pages. check the image below for reference. i think you can go on and add the key features, highlights, and benefits of your product. that will users gauge its real value and make quick purchasing decisions. additionally, you should also add more images of the product, and some faqs.
-
apart from that, check for grammar issues. for eg. this home page banner is grammatically incorrect.
![]()
please note that such inconsistencies can turn away visitors and hamper your brand image. you can use a tool like grammarly
- also add more trust signals. for example, as you mentioned that you have a few sales, try and gather reviews from those customers and them to your site (home and product pages). that will help other new users trust your business fast.
for a start, you can focus on these points. later, you can run ads and improve your store’s seo. but i feel first you should attend to these changes. they should push your sales further.
also, take the feedback constructively ![]()
Hi HTX-Fluid-Power,
First, kudos for building everything yourself over 6 months – that takes real dedication! For an industrial B2B niche, getting 20–50 daily visits in the first 6 months actually isn’t bad at all. But you’re right — conversions and visibility can definitely be improved.
The Reality Check:
From what I see, your homepage SEO looks okay (no major issues), but your speed performance is a big bottleneck. I checked quickly — your store has over 8,000+ URLs, which means a SEO full audit can’t be done in just a few minutes. We’ve helped stores with 50,000+ pages before, and even with the solid app we built that can scan entire sites, it can take hours or days to scan everything properly. If someone says they can check it all instantly, they’re probably not giving you the full picture.
SEO isn’t only about “fixing issues”; there are a lot of tactics, you also need a plan — keyword targeting, content funnel (TOFU–MOFU–BOFU), and tracking your results to see what actually converts.
For the B2B field, there are usually many touchpoints in the customer journey. Organic search should be your main acquisition channel, since Facebook Ads for this niche often take longer to pay off. Also, keep in mind that Meta ads need time to learn where, and when to show your ads, one week is not enough.
You mentioned you’ve already tried some Shopify SEO apps but didn’t have much luck. I noticed you’re currently using another app not us — just wondering, have you also tried Tapita AI SEO & Speed Optimizer yet? You can chat directly with Tapita’s technical experts inside the app to understand your site’s specific technical issues and explore more advanced fixes together. Our team is very happy and willing to help.
Some speed issues can often be fixed quickly (image compression, lazy-loading, etc.), but some need technical expertise — that’s where having experts available really helps.
I know you want to test everything, but since you’re running things on your own with limited resources, don’t try to tackle every channel at once. Start by focusing on Google and SEO first — master that foundation before expanding.
Set your focus your next 2–3 months on:
-
Fixing speed & crawlability issues
-
Building a clear SEO funnel with targeted keywords
-
Tracking your organic performance
Hope it helps!

you can also add a video on the home page with link to you tube video showing a product, your warehouse, your packaging, your employees, a personal message from the owner. It won’t play unless they click on it. Show some activity.
