I’ve been running my Shopify store for about 2 years now: www.ranceqshop.net. I sell gaming accessories, and although I’ve been putting in effort, unfortunately I haven’t made any sales so far.
At this point, I really want to understand what I’m doing wrong. Is it my store design, product presentation, pricing, or marketing approach?
I would greatly appreciate any honest feedback on:
How my store looks from a customer’s perspective
What might be stopping people from purchasing
The best ways to drive quality traffic and turn it into sales
Any apps or strategies that could help me improve conversions
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to review my store. Any advice is highly valuable for me right now
Hey @ranceqshop,
Thanks for posting your Query about the store sale on Shopify community.
I just take a deeply look to your store and a Shopify Developer I would like to gave you some suggestions that maybe help you with your store sale.
It’s not really important to have a very professional look of the store. It’s really important to have a best Marketing strategy, Target the right customers, Increase the Average order value and urge customers to buy more products.
Here are the some tips below that you must follow in order to get more sale on your store.
You must have social proof. It’s really important. Showcase the customer feedback on the social platforms and ensure that it should be authentic.
Use UGC’s videos/images on the product page. It’s urge customer to buy more and add a safety sign. See how this brand using the UGC’s video Paper Straight Road Less T-Shirt
Use Reviews with images and videos: It’s really important to use the Review for the products with media. This is boost your sale.
Do SEO: SEO is one of the best way to get organic sale. Make sure to do SEO of your website.
If you need help to implement all there strategies, then drop me a message in the p/m.
Thanks
Comparing the price of a random product, I chose the Darmoshark M3s Pro Mouse, which is almost 3 TIMES more expensive on your store. I would shop elsewhere.
Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you are struggling with sales. Have to ask, why you waited this long to ask fro feedback and second, have you maybe searched community for similar topics? As there are a lot of people with similar issues, and there are a lot of good advice that you can apply to your store.
First, good choice of theme but you did not fully used sections and features themes gives you. But let me start from homepage:
Marquee section at the top “We are open 24/7” I think it does not bring value. Yes you can order 24/7 but I do not see chat available for example. Could be better it emphasis some core features of your product like * Premium * Light* and so on
Logo is OK but menu you need more, instead Home and All Products you can have Gaming Mouse | Mechanical Keyboard | Receiver | Our Story | Contact Us
And then first thing customers will see “Brands we cooperate with” and you show just one brand, plus you show same in 3rd section. They are important but that should not be the most important thing you want to introduce your visitors with. You need more text in general but there you could have “Professional, high-quality equipment for your eSports game”
Second section is great, mix of video and images, but note that middle-top you have product TOP 95 but it leads to TOP 75 a different product.
Then you have 3 collections, fine. But you can improve their names for sure and add some description. Like I said you need more text, how you think Google will something important to present in search? For example, you have Mouse collection, really, just Mouse? Though a few look like old Genius office mouses But try to give more like “Pro-Grade Gaming Mouse”.
FAQ is minimal, there must be more questions
And then we come to two sections with the most text, solid but not great choice of background image and text is too small, 16px is fine for some large text, but it should bigger as it should be more noticeable.
You need more colors and more movement/animation, to match your target audience, that second section is a sign, repeat some videos, add
Footer- you could use one or two menus there.
Collection page, could use a good description.
Product page:
After a product name and price, you have good sized block for return policy. Like it is a most important feature of product. I would though that products are bad if you say that first about product. Think it is a bad move, you can have it later.
No real description, just specs table, check Darmoshark website at least and pick up some features they present in images, you can turn in text/logos
Just copy Impact theme sections, you can add at least 6 sections.
Also I noticed you have just one image per product variant a bit strange, al top view but I think customers would like to see from all sides both mouse and keyboard.Plus they are not great quality, for example on A1 keyboard I can not clearly see all keys and text on some of them.
Impact theme have that “Buy it with” use it on every Mouse product to offer Keyboard and other way around
Have some bundles maybe with discounts
There is no contact page and while you have info email that is not enough, business name, registration, address phone all that improve credibility and trust. What do not is some vague Terms "These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the federal and state or territorial courts in the jurisdiction where Ranceq is headquartered. You and Ranceq consent to venue and personal jurisdiction in such courts. " That is so strange, and not sure if completely legal.
And on checkout think PayPal as only extra payment option is a bit limiting.
At end, I think it is difficult for you to compete with Ali Express prices, and you know what other stores sell them for. And to compete you have to do more with your site. Tell a story, lead customer, show something that could excite them to buy. Show credibility and reassurance.
Not sure what you do for marketing, but at least be active on social networks. One short video on YouTube and one post on Instagram are not enough, and TikTok handle do not exist and there are your customers.
Thank you for your comment. I understand that the product you’re showing is priced high, but not every product is the same. The reason for the price differences is my supplier and the fact that I don’t sell in bulk. The reason for the higher price of this product is to increase the variety of products in my store. Thank you for your comment.
We can understand this from the sellers perspective.
But you as a store owner should look at this from the buyers perspective.
You need to provide value and trust.
If someone is looking for this mouse, google will show them multiple offers. Would they click yours if it’s significantly more expensive?
If they end up on your page anyway, it only takes 3 clicks to search for competing offers.
And if the price is good, the second question is whether this shop is legitimate or a fraud. And there is nothing on your site to verify your good intentions.
Finally, “Brands we cooperate with” listing a single brand , empty review sections do not inspire any trust.
Welcome to the Shopify community pal @ranceqshop from a store design perspective, everything seems to be in order from what I see. You have well placed categories plus an FAQs section which I like to see. I think two things you can add would be a video in the product gallery displaying more of the product AND a blog section which could also help in driving traffic for the store through SEO.
For the marketing aspect, what strategies do you currently employ? I think running some strategic paid ads through Instagram for starters might be a good route to go if you don’t do that already.
It’s Lydia here from the AOVai team. Welcome to the Shopify Community
I’ve taken a closer look at your storefront. Your overall design looks great - clean and easy to navigate. However, the site currently doesn’t look very trustworthy because it mainly includes product images and descriptions. Here are a few suggestions that might help:
1/ Social media
You can consider building a TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram channel. Posting short review videos, unboxing clips, or product setup experiences can help build trust and make customers more willing to purchase.
If you already have social media channels, make sure to link them to your storefront.
2/ Blog posts
Consider adding blog content, such as tips on cleaning keyboards or using your products. - Linking these posts in the footer menu can increase credibility and keep visitors engaged.
3/ SEO
If you want to grow your organic traffic, SEO is highly recommended.
I noticed that many product pages share the same meta description. Google crawls this info and displays it in search results, so having unique keywords and meta tags for each page will improve your ranking.
Checked out your site! Overall, it looks great. One thing that could help drive more traffic and sales is adding an interactive element, like 3D previews or Augmented Reality. The visual presentation of a product on your website is really important, and right now you only have one picture per product, which might not be enough. Since your products are at a higher price point, giving customers more ways to see and interact with them can help them feel confident making a purchase.
You’re selling gaming products and gamers especially love creating the perfect setup. Adding interactive features can help them see how your products fit in their space, try different colors, and engage with items instead of just scrolling. Experiences like this can help improve conversions.
