I have been trying since Monday to transfer the ownership of a store I built for a client. This store I built is within my Shopify organization. The name of the store is “American Great Store”. I DO NOT want to transfer ANY of my other stores. I have reached out and have spoken to a half dozen Shopify personnel, none of which can help me. The error message I get is:
“You have an active Balance account. To transfer ownership, please transfer out any funds in Balance and contact Shopify Support to transfer ownership.”
THIS IS A NEW STORE. THERE ARE NO NEW ORDERS. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BALANCE. Not only that, every response I get from Shopify is different or they are confused on the task.
This would and should be the EASIEST task for Shopify but it is proven troublesome for them.
PLEASE! Anyone, please help me complete this task.
