Want to change Basis plan to stater

Shopify support center ( amazon.trader92@gmail.com ) this is my account I am not using Shopify for more than 6 month I want to change my payment plan from basis to starter please do the needful on urgent basis

I understand that you have been using Shopify for a few months now and are wanting to change your plan from the Basic plan to the Starter plan. At the moment, this would not be possible as The Shopify Starter plan is only available for new merchants and those in the free trial period.

Feel free to share some additional context as to why you are looking to change plans and I’d be happy to provide some recommendations to get you back on track. If you want to take some time to revamp your store, then you may want to consider the **Pause and Build **plan. Your store will continue to run at a reduced cost of $9 USD per month. You will have access to your Shopify admin and edit your products when you need to, but your checkout will be deactivated.

Am I to understand that Shopify would rather have their users cancel their plan entirely thus receiving $0 a month, rather than allow us to revert back to the start plan for $5 a month? Interesting. Well, I’m canceling as well.

It sucks cause i spent so much time building my store but i cant afford to keep it up anymore since now its 45$ a month after tax but before i started my account with shopify i did researxh and they said i’d be able to downgrade to started plan whenever i please guess not.

It’s easy:

  1. Open shopify and login as your email address.
  2. Go to Setting >Plan from your dashboard.
  3. Choose Shopify Starter plan ($5 per month only) then finalize by clicking “Change plan”.
  4. I Haven’t used it in more than half a year? Simply turn on again if frozen and select Starter.
