Hi! I’ve recently launched my dropshipping store online (https://www.morallure.co.uk/) and currently get around 100 sessions per day while testing ads. Despite this, I only get 2-3 add-to-carts and no sales. I suspect my website might be the issue, but I’m not very skilled in SEO optimization or user experience (UX). Could you let me know if there’s anything unprofessional or questionable on my site that might be deterring customers, or if something is missing? I’d like to avoid spending more on ads without seeing conversions. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Topic summary
A dropshipping store owner is experiencing low conversion rates despite receiving 100 daily sessions from paid ads—only 2-3 add-to-carts and zero sales. They’re seeking feedback on potential website issues affecting conversions before investing more in advertising.
Key Issues Identified:
- Trust signals missing: Lack of customer reviews, limited shop information, and insufficient social proof create buyer hesitation
- Technical SEO problems: Homepage title tag too short (9 characters vs. recommended 50-60), missing meta descriptions on homepage and product pages
- UX/design concerns: Hero banner appears cut off, customer reviews blend in with product information rather than standing out, top banner CTA lacks clickable links
- Product page gaps: Insufficient product imagery/videos, no price anchoring (strikethrough original prices), missing return policy/guarantees, unclear “what’s in the box” details
Recommended Solutions:
- Implement retargeting campaigns and abandoned cart recovery emails
- Add authentic customer reviews prominently
- Fix meta descriptions and optimize for targeted keywords
- Include live chat support and improve FAQ/Contact pages
- Enhance product pages with multiple angles, zoom functionality, and trust badges
- Consider Google/Facebook Ads with proper retargeting strategy

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. I have viewed your website and hope our expertise can help you.
Your website showcases comprehensive product information, which is a great start for engaging potential customers. To boost your visibility and sales further, I recommend exploring Google Ads and Facebook Ads. These platforms can effectively target your audience and increase traffic to your store. Once you have a solid base of visitors, consider implementing retargeting campaigns. Retargeting is particularly effective because it allows you to reconnect with users who have previously visited your site but did not make a purchase. By reminding them of their interest in your products, you can encourage them to return and complete their transaction. This strategy can lead to higher conversion rates compared to standard ads because it focuses on an audience already familiar with your brand.
It’s also worth noting the difference between retargeting and dynamic ads. While dynamic ads automatically show products based on user behavior across various platforms, retargeting specifically targets users who have interacted with your site. This focused approach often results in better Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) since these users are already interested in what you offer.
For easier management of your retargeting efforts, consider using our Ako Marketing app, which simplifies the setup of marketing campaigns and includes features tailored for retargeting. This tool can help streamline your advertising strategy, allowing you to focus on optimizing your website and improving customer engagement without overwhelming yourself with complex setups. By combining these strategies, you should see an increase in conversions without significantly increasing your ad spend upfront.
Hi @Dee237 ! I’m Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
I took a close look at your website, and from a UX/UI perspective, it seems well-designed with no major issues. Personally, while browsing your site, the main thing I felt was missing is a sense of trust. There’s very little information about your shop, and I didn’t see any genuine reviews from customers who have made purchases. This might create some hesitation or doubt for potential buyers when deciding whether to place an order.
To improve trustworthiness, you could consider adding more details about your shop and showcasing authentic reviews from your customers. Additionally, if customers reach the “add to cart” stage but don’t complete their purchase, it might be worth reevaluating your pricing compared to competitors or even considering how shipping costs might be influencing their decision.
These are just my personal observations after carefully reviewing your site. I hope they’re helpful for you! By the way, your design and product selection are already fantastic. Best of luck with your business! ![]()

Hi @Dee237
I will not evaluate the design aspect of your store but instead provide feedback on its technical SEO:
- On the homepage, I noticed your title tag has only 9 characters. It is recommended to have between 50-60 characters for optimal SEO performance.
- The meta description tag is missing, which is definitely a drawback in Google’s evaluation of your store. Please refer to this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/sxHnoaeO9yyt.
- Similarly, the meta description for product pages is also missing: https://prnt.sc/TRoz8mEK1F7l.
- Additionally, you should focus on one keyword per page and choose keywords with low competition and high search volume.
- Create blog posts with content relevant to your store and include outbound links to improve organic traffic.
Thank you!
Best,
Daisy - Avada Support Team.
Hi @Dee237 ,
We appreciate your inquiry in the Shopify Community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.
Congrats on your new store! I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. Especially, the product features are described with lots of dynamic videos, and you also differentiate your brand well with a clear value proposition.
However, I have some comments to boost conversion rates. Here are some of my recommendations for better customer experience, please kindly check.
1.Adding CTA link for banner
I see you put the banner “Don’t Miss Out! Get Your Free UK Delivery Today!” at the top of the website that shows a very strong call to action. But for sales boost, you can leverage it to attach the link of product page/discounts/purchase, etc.
2. Aligning and Optimizing the Hero Banner
At my first view of your website, the hero banner is cut off (which might show a little unprofessionalism). Therefore, make sure that your layout is eye-catching and detail-oriented.
3. Making the comments on Product page stand out more
The customers’ comments are now the same color and position as the product information as well as with the swiping transition. Yet, this part is so important that it requires better outstanding presence.
My suggestion is to:
- Create a dedicated “Customer Reviews” section below the product description, with clear spacing and a distinctive background or border color.
- Use visually engaging elements like star ratings, thumbnails of user-uploaded photos, and highlighted quotes from the best reviews.
- Add a “See All Reviews” link to give users easy access to all feedback.
4. Leveraging Social Proof
It would be nice if you can Include a live sales notification (e.g., “X just purchased Y” or “20 people are viewing this product”) to create urgency and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Also, consider adding a “Frequently Bought Together” or “Customers Also Bought” section to encourage upselling.
5. Refining FAQ & “Contact us” page
To make your contact point with customers even better, you could consider refining and making your FAQ and a “Contact Us” page more attractive. These are essential for helping customers quickly find answers or reach out for support, which can significantly enhance their shopping experience.
For an easy solution, I recommend trying MooseDesk App. It provides free, professionally designed FAQ and Contact Us templates with a simple one-click setup that perfect for elevating your store effortlessly!
So those are some of my suggestions for your store as an UX expert. If this is helpful for you, please let me know by giving me a ‘LIKE’. If your question is answered please mark this as 'SOLUTION’.
Once again, keep up the fantastic work, and I wish you the best of luck in the future!
Hi! First off, congratulations on launching your store—your homepage looks fantastic and does a great job of grabbing attention. However, I looked at your product pages and noticed a few areas that might be contributing to the lack of conversions.
Here are some suggestions that could help boost trust and improve the overall shopping experience:
- Add More Visuals: Including multiple high-quality images and a short video showcasing the product in action can make a significant impact. Show the product from different angles, in use, and highlight unique features. Additionally, allowing users to zoom in on product images will help them examine the details more closely, increasing their confidence in purchasing.
- Price Anchoring: Show the original price with a strikethrough next to the discounted price to create a sense of urgency and highlight the value they’re getting.
- Return Policy & Guarantee: Including a “30-day money-back guarantee” or similar assurance directly on the product page can significantly increase trust. Transparency around returns reassures buyers and reduces hesitation.
- What’s in the Box: List everything the customer will receive, especially if your product has multiple components or accessories (e.g., different blades for various purposes). This eliminates ambiguity and adds perceived value.
- Abandoned Cart Campaigns: Set up email or SMS campaigns to re-engage customers who add products to their cart but don’t check out. Often, a friendly nudge with a discount code or free shipping offer can seal the deal.
- Retargeting Ads: Use ads to retarget visitors who browsed your products but didn’t convert. Highlight specific products they viewed to rekindle interest.
- Live Chat Support: Adding a live chat or chatbot feature ensures customers can get quick answers to their questions, reducing hesitation and improving the user experience.
With these tweaks, I think you’ll be able to bridge the gap between your current traffic and conversions. Your store has a lot of potential, and with some small changes, I’m confident you’ll start seeing better results soon. If you’d like more help or feedback, feel free to reach out.
