What alternatives can I use if I have no utility bill?

I have no bills so i cant send a utility bill. What else can i use

Whereabouts are you based?

The reason I ask is that what documents we request varies based on your region and what type of business you have: sole proprietor, LLC, NPO, etc. The requested documents must meet the requirements in order for our team to verify them. Depending on your region, I may be able to provide additional documents that you can submit for verification.

In the meantime, I’d like to share general requirements that we may request for you to submit for verification. Please take a look at them below.

General Requirements for Shopify Payments:

Photo ID:

  • The ID must be a standard government-issued photo ID. Commonly we accept driver’s licenses, passports, and federal identity cards.

  • ID provided must be a colour copy, we cannot verify with greyscale images.

  • It must be valid, we cannot accept expired IDs.

Proof of Address:

  • The name and address must both be visible on the document.

  • The name and address will need to match the information on your Shopify Payments account to be verified. If a business address verification document is requested, the name on the document must match the business name on file for Shopify Payments.

  • If a driver’s licence was used for the Photo ID request, it cannot be used a second time to verify the address. However, if a passport was used for ID verification, we can verify the address with a driver’s licence.

Ireland only have bank statement. No utility bill and haven’t got my driver license yet I’m only settin up

Since you’re based in Ireland, I’ll share additional generally accepted personal address verification documents to submit:

  • Social insurance document - (Must be dated, and cannot be older than 6 months.)
  • Government-issued document
  • Tax credit certificate
  • Bank Statement - (Must be dated, and cannot be older than 6 months.)

I’m in the UK. I don’t have a passport but I do have a driver’s licence. However, over here, the photo isn’t in colour. The utility bills aren’t in my name, either. I’m going to have leave Shopify and look elsewhere.
