Why am I getting a 'Checkout isn't available in preview' error?

hello everyone,

We are trying to setup our store to go live tonight at midnight. However when I test I go to checkout with our product and get the error “Checkout isn’t available in preview. Return to the store preview or contact the store owner.”

Hello @smartsheck !

Thanks for the screenshot of this. This issue could be down to a few things, so could you please check the following and let me know:

  • Check that your product is published on the Online store sales channel. This can be see in the Products section of the admin when you click into the product that you wanted to checkout with.
  • Make sure you’re using a URL that is on your store’s domain and not a preview link.
  • Let me know the link that you’re using to checkout with came from.

The best way to test your product is by going to your website URL as normal, adding it to cart and trying to checkout as if you were a customer. Let me know what you see when you try this! If you’d like, you can share the URL of your store with me here so I can take a look at it for myself also.
