Why are product tags duplicating in my online store?

Hello,

I have imported a csv file in the store and found that tag duplication issue. Like 20’s, 30’s etc tags are showing two times in the admin when I go to filter on product page. Here I am attaching the screenshot.

Anyone help me with this why this happened with these kind of tags ?

Hey Ankit,

Do the tags have any other characters? Empty space or different " ’ "?

Nope, I have checked that there is not space or other characters. This happened only with these kind of tags. 20’s, 30’s etc.

Hmm this sounds like a Shopify (potentially parsing) issue to me then.

Hope this will help

1.Shopify admin>Products>All products>In the product listing page, click on the “Filter” button.
2. Scroll down to the “Tags” section and click on the “Edit” button
3. In the tag filtering options Look for the duplicate tags, such as “20’s” and “30’s,” and identify the tags that are appearing twice and note down the product associated with these duplicate tag
4. Cancel to exit

Manually Remove Duplicate Tags

  1. All products page>Find the product having duplicate tag (example: 20)>Select the all product having duplicate tag
  2. Edit products>Remove tags from drop down menu
  3. remove the 20 tag from the selected products
  4. Repeat this process for all duplicate tag

I can not find the edit tag option , and why this happened if both tags are same then it become single not double ?

Can you please send me small video of the process ?

Hope you are doing well!

Can you please help me in this, Why this is happening ? Still there is duplicate tags display and when i apply different tags filter for example if i select 20’s to filter product then in filter they both tags display same product listing then in tag list why duplicating ?
Please help me with this if you have any solution or any reference link.
