Good morning everyone I am currently in period of having tons of traffic, tons of add to cart but no sales… i probably get 12-15 add to carts and probably 4-5 people that reach check out. I look over my store every day to see what the heck is wrong, i just can’t pin point it. the conversion funnel is straight forward and to the point, just 2 simple pages of putting in your shipping info and card info, but no one seems to ever just press BUY. hoping someone with a better eye could look at this and figure out where i might be going wrong, my product page in my eyes seems okay, it’s straight forward and simple and doesn’t have pop ups all over the page. thanks in advance!!! page url is https://naturalistdesigns.ca/
Hi @Spencer14 ,
Let’s get directly to the point: I’d like to offer my opinions about your store.
1. You don’t have a favicon for your store.
To add a favicon, see this article: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon.
2. Your products are hard to find.
Customers will often find products in the Product section in the menu bar. However, your site now lacks a Product section in the menu bar, which makes it difficult for visitors to discover your items. On the menu bar, you may add product and collection pages.
I think it’s better to bring all the menu items out instead of hiding them.
3. It looks like you have reviews, but you don’t show them on your home page.
Customer reviews are important in a buyer’s decision-making process. As a result, you must professionally present them. With the help of Ali Reviews, you can quickly import customer reviews from a variety of sources, like AliExpress, and show them in a way that looks great.
I hope it helps. All the best.
Thank you! I will definitely add these into my store. one more question, which might not be in your department. With my adds I have them set to world wide a lot of the visitors i get are from India, Bangladesh, and so on. should i be targeting less countries like Canada, and United States, that have a habit of buying on the spot, but getting less visitors, or is the increase in visitors eventually going to pay off? thanks in advance
Hi @Spencer14 , thanks for your question. We must say that setting ads to worldwide only works in some cases (in this case you already see obviously that it increases the traffic to your store) and should not be your strategy in the long run. In fact, we suggest that you separate target regions into 3 different tiers: tier 1 (extremely high CPC/CPA countries but high intention to buy); tier 2 (average CPC/CPA, avg to high intention to buy); tier 3 (low CPC/CPA, getting lots of traffic but little to no intention to buy countries such as Bangladesh, India, etc). You can refer to this list of tiers from this post. With each of the tiers, you can target them with different CPC/CPA, high for tier 1, lower for tier 2 and the lowest bid for tier 3. By doing this, you’re preventing spending too much of your budget into countries which have lower intentions to buy but still get sufficient traffic. We suggest you should spent 60-70% of your budget into tier 1 (US, CA, AU etc) and 10-20% for tier 2 (Brazil, China, Turley etc) countries
Also, don’t forget to exclude some countries/regions that are having political issues from your ads since it’s not useful for your ads and budget. When your ads are in the process of learning, frequently check and exclude spamming regions/ countries (many clicks but hardly reach your website).
You can try this exclude some countries/regions that are having political issues from your ads since it’s not useful for your ads and budget.
Hi @Spencer14
The abandoned carts section is a great tool that you can utilize to improve the conversion rate of your customers. The first thing that you need to check is if there is a tech issue ongoing that prevents some of your customers from checking out, You can do this by checking the timeline section of your abandoned checkout.
You can send a cart recovery email with a discount code or promotion to entice them to go back and complete the order. You can run a conversion report in Shopify and check for any patterns on your customers that convert (Demographics, location, etc). I hope this helps.
