Hello, I am sending this email because after I chose what plan I would like monthly, paid for the plan, my store then became inactive after doing so. What can I do to get it active again?

With this kind of problem, the best way is to get in touch with the Support team directly to have them check it for you.
You could refer to this link, log in to your store account then type in a topic in the search bar, for example, "inactive store " and select Search. On the following page, scroll down to Get Support and click Continue and you’ll be presented with options to contact our Support via chat, email, or schedule a call-back.

Hello - The same thing just happened to me. I spent time creating the store via the trial plan and was in the process of entering my CC details for the basic plan and when it would accept my CC for whatever reason I used my other CC and then it made my store inactive and I can not access my account. This is the SECOND TIME this has happened. I have contacted support 4 times with NO ASSISTANCE. It was super challenging to get someone to reply and when I did through a chat session they still could not help me stating that it was escalated to risk and senior level who would get back with whom obviously have not contacted me in any way. I think this is the most horrible and frustrating party with Shopify. It makes me wonder about overall support for your store if there is an issue with a customer directly.
Now, this is my 2nd store that I’ve tried to set up with a very similar situation. My first store was functioning perfectly and suddenly one day it was inactive and I have no idea what happened. No help from support of course. I had my CC on file and they charged my card, then when they made my store inactive suddenly they refunded back the payment. How strange is that?!?!? I still do not know what happened and no one will provide any answers. Has this happened to anyone else???

What is super ironic is that right after I posted this I received an email from Shopify notifying me that my account has been restored and I just need to login to reactive it. Everything was as it was prior to it being inactive. I can honesty say I have NO IDEA how it was fixed. But I have no problems now. To be candid, I think it’s just their risk management assessment to scoop out fraudulent & bot accounts. Anyone can creat a store so easily so they have to have some kind of measure. It’s bizarre but hey I got my store back up so I’m happier now.

I encountered the same problem last week. After contacting support via chat, I was informed that it needed to be escalated, so a ticket was created. It’s been about 5 days so far and still no resolution to the ticket. Just now I tried to create another store, and right after I picked a plan and submitted my payment info, the newly created store immediately became inactive too!
Very frustrating experience so far with Shopify!

I am shopify partner from few years now and I build and spend time for my client. He has upgrade to a Paid plan (annual) and the store gone INACTIVE -
My Ticket number is 35191879 - And i am waiting to get support AND NO ONE is getting Back Me
the client wants to proceed to a chargeback- I will not getting paid for my work too - and shopify has charge him and right after has made his store inactive

I am having this same issue and I’m losing out on soo many sales!! Int reputation is being ruined because of Shopify! This is not good service what so ever. They can’t even tell us why it’s happening. All I see is people complaining about this same issue but you would think this bug would be fixed by now. By far the worst experience ever.
I do understand for sure how frustrating that can be ! I built my brand for months ! I’m getting traction and making good money with ads. And they did the same exact thing to me. I just received the shopify invoice and one or two hours later my store was inactive. This is the 8th day and they still tell me that the review team will reach out to me. They never did ! And never gave any answers. I do not know what to think at this point. I been using Shopify for 8 years now and this is the most frustrating thing I ever experienced with them. You mean to tell me I worked so hard for this brand and invested so much for it to be inactive for absolutely no reason

They don’t give any answers when you contact their support but for a review it is crazy that it takes that long. Literally on social media my customers are furious ! Which is understandable. I can’t even ship my pending orders. I have 100s of orders. This is very disappointing and it’s making me question everything about Shopify

I had this problem with my first store in which got banned for no reason and after almost 2 weeks they have refunded the money i purchased for the plan and said that the decision is final even though i talked to their support so many times.
They didn’t even give me any reason that WHY this happened.
I tried to sign up 5 times after that everytime with different and new Emails… With new Shopify account
as soon as i enter my card info to buy the plan, My store gets banned.
idk why! I even changed my store name and Email and everything!
