Every time I click on Edit Theme code it does not load the page.
It says due to technical issues this page is not loading.
How can I fix this issue?

I understand that you are having some trouble with editing your theme code on your Shopify admin - I’d be happy to lend a hand!
Can you confirm the name of the theme you are using - is it a Shopify made theme, or a third party one? Also, have you been making code edits and changes to this theme up until now, and this error just started appearing all of a sudden?
Can you please walk me through the exact steps that you are taking when you encounter this error? I assume you are navigating to Online Store > Themes, then clicking the three dots next to the theme in question and clicking Edit Code?
As a troubleshooting step, I would suggest installing a clean/unedited version of a free Shopify made theme, and trying to access the theme code in that. If it works OK, then it could suggest that your current theme has some issues, perhaps caused by code editing or third-party apps.
Some local troubleshooting steps would also be a good idea, just to rule out any issues with your own setup. I would recommend trying the following:
- Clear your browser cache & cookies - this can help if your browser is using old or outdated cached information.
- Update your browser to the latest version, and also make sure your device is running on an up to date firmware/operating system.
- Try using a different:
- Web browser - we always recommend Google Chrome but you can try others.
- Device - test it on a different computer or device entirely.
- Internet connection - try using a different network such as a separate Wi-Fi network, or even trying mobile data instead.
