I have 2 Shopify stores one is old and one is new.
I made the outstanding payment for the other old store as asked by Shopify.
If I put my credit card info in for the new store is it going to bill me again right away? Or will it bill me when it’s due?
I just don’t want to be paying again.
I already got charged twice for my old store, will this payment be forwarded to my new store? Help! I don’t want the other store anymore, I never used it once.
Thank you for posting your question here on our Community forums and sharing your experience. I definitely see where you’re coming from and I’m happy to help.
When you open your new store, you will not be charged for the subscription until your free 14-day trial runs out. If you choose a paid plan during your free trial, then you won’t be charged any subscription fees until the end of your free trial period. Depending on the option you have chosen, your subscription can be paid in the following increments: 30 days, or 1, 2, or 3 years. If you choose the monthly billing cycle, you will be charged every 30 days from the time that your free trial ends. I recommend reading this great resource, to learn more about your** Shopify bill overview**.
To gather a little bit more context, did you already pay for the subscription fee this month on the store you closed? If so, our support team may be able to transfer that credit to your new store. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request so we can take a closer look.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear more about your business plans! What type of products do you sell?
I did pay for my old store already because it said that was the only way to gain access to my new store. If you could transfer over that credit to the new store instead that would be great. I haven’t picked a place yet due to the issue I was having. Should I go a head and pick a plan? or wait till the credit is transferred?
