Cant open store because of too many redirects

please somebody help me!!!

the problem started when there was a billing problem so my store was closed for a day because the subsciption wasnt payed, i fixed the subsciption and now i and everyone who wants to open my store link it says i am getting redirected too many times! i tried disabling and enabling redirects traffic to main domain, url redirects through navigation in url redirects by entering the link in my search bar to homepage but, looking in forums and even tried contacting shopify trough contact shopify and filing a question and have not had any answer.

i am really desperate to fix it bc i am paying subscription and the site doesnt even open, i am missing money and motivation to keep going, please help me quick.

thank you

I’m so sorry to hear that, @Rowanstore ! Could you post a link to your store here so I can investigate this further? I’d like to find the cause of these redirects, so if I had a store link I can get started on finding a resolution. Also, can you let me know if you have recently installed any new apps in your store admin? Just for some extra context!

i have not installed any new apps recently.

thank you for your response and i am looking forward on your next.

Thanks so much for sharing the link! I can see your domain is pointing in the right direction:

I used this DNS checker here if you’d like to check it out! This was to make sure that you only had one A Record set for this domain, as it can happen that a domain will redirect if there is more than one A Record added to a domain. The A Record is your primary domain, the part of your domain without the ā€˜www’ in front of it. In your case, your A Record would be forelsket-norin.com. You also have a CNAME Record, or sub-domain, this is the part with the ā€˜www’ - in your case www.forelsket-norin.com. While you can only have one primary domain (A Record), you can have lots of different sub-domains (CNAMEs) added, as all the sub-domains will all redirect back to your primary domain.

The A Record tells the browser where to direct customers when they type in your URL, which means you should only have one so that the customer is directed to one place (your Shopify store). If the domain has 2 or more A Records, is it essentially pointing in two or more different directions.

It looks like the domain is set up correctly, so the issue must lie elsewhere. Can I ask if you have more than one primary domain (a domain without www in front of it) in the Shopify admin? This can happen at times, domains can get a little confusing! This is my test store as an example:

jackjuno.com is my A Record (primary domain) and www.jackjuno.com is my CNAME (subdomain). Could you check the domain section of your admin and let me know what you find? If you’re not sure what it should look like, you can post a screenshot here and I can take a look for you!

Hi

I’m facing the same issue.

My store was performing and loading completely fine today.

Then, I was trying to connect the domain to Facebook ads. Then the page on Shopify was loading forever.

I went to do other things in order to leave the page take it’s time.

But when I connected again I could see my store is not loading anymore and it says it’s related to too many redirects.

I have cleaned the cookies, tried to setup the main domain again, disconnected

Facebook business manager…but it won’t work.

I could see that my store is working fine when I’m editing the theme on Shopify. I can access all the products in my store, go to the checkout page…but if try to hit the button ā€œsee storeā€ it doesn’t work.

I have asked some colleagues to try to access the store but it’s not working for them either.

My store is lanoape.com.br

Can somebody help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, @Lanoapebnu .

Are you still experiencing this issue with your store? You mentioned that ā€œIt says it’s related to too many redirects.ā€ - are you able to share with me a screenshot of this exact error message please, including the URL bar?

The URL for you store you shared appears to be working well for me, with fast loading times. Is the ā€œsee storeā€ function still not working for you? Looking forward to hearing back from you soon!
