Hello all. Shopify has marked both my EIN and business name an incorrect, although they are both correct. I’ve been selling on Shopify since 2021. I have tried fixing the EIN, but after so many attempts I’m now locked out of editing that information. I’ve chatted with two reps, both who have said they would escalate the issue and I’d receive an email, but no such luck.
I would like to file my taxes soon. Any idea how to proceed?

- Use Live Chat to contact Shopify support again and request to speak with the tax compliance team directly.
- Email support@shopify.com and include your EIN, legal business name, and any supporting IRS documents.
- Try Twitter/X for Faster Response
- File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB): Shopify BBB
Shopify does not allow you to email them directly. I’ve chatted with support 5 times and have been waiting 20 days for an email back.
