Hello dear,
My payout has been paused since October 5th, and it still hasn’t been resumed. Could you please explain what kind of verification is still pending and why it’s taking so long?
I’ve contacted Shopify Support multiple times, and every time I’m told that my case is active and I should wait a little longer. I’ve already waited patiently, but I still haven’t received any email or update regarding the review or verification process.
Please let me know what’s really happening and what I can do next to get this resolved.
I just wanted to know the exact reason for this verification and why the process is taking so long. My payout has been paused since October 5th, and I still haven’t received any update or email regarding the review.
Please kindly check this for me and let me know how much longer I’ll need to wait, or if there’s anything I need to do from my side to speed things up.
I just wanted to ask — is there any specific reason why the verification is still not completed yet? I’ve already waited a long time, and my business operations are currently stuck because of this delay.
Please, if possible, help me get this resolved within 1 to 2 days so I can continue running my business smoothly. I really hope this can be prioritized and finalized as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time and understanding.

Hi there,
I understand how stressful it is when payouts stay paused for this long, especially when you’ve already been waiting since October 5th.
When a payout is under review, Shopify’s Risk / Trust & Safety team handles it internally, and regular support can’t see the exact reason or the specific documents being checked. That’s why support keeps telling you your case is active but can’t give more detail.
A few important points to know:
1. Only the Risk/Verification team can complete this review
They don’t send updates unless they need extra documents or when the review is finished.
So it’s normal (but frustrating) that you haven’t received emails yet.
2. Long verification times usually mean:
-
Additional checks on your business identity
-
Banking or payout information mismatch
-
High-risk orders or sudden spike in sales
-
Confirmation of where/what you’re selling
-
Final confirmation before releasing held funds
It doesn’t mean your store is closing it just means the review is still in their queue.
3. Support cannot speed up the process
But they can add notes to your case asking for prioritization, which sometimes helps.
4. Your payouts will not be released until the review is done
Even if everything is valid, they must complete the internal process before releasing funds.
You’ve already waited a long time, so your next best step is to ask support to:
Once the Risk team finishes, you’ll receive an email with the decision and next steps.
If you don’t understand any part of this, I would love to explain it more clearly.
@kashifali3 , @NelsonChi These are peer to peer forums not a support channel.
NO ONE HERE CAN FIX YOUR ACCOUNT ISSUES CONTACT SHOPIFY SUPPORT ADVISOR DIRECTLY.
Then just wait.
DO NOT SHARE BANK DETAILS or connect with random people on these forums for stuff like this
Don’t be silly , think it through don’t engage with bots telling you what you want to hear THEY DO NOT REPRESENT SHOPIFY and cannot in no way change the outcomes of stuff like this but they can scam you if you swallow their bs out of greed.
What you are saying is correct to some extent, but it’s not like that. Think for yourself—many people’s businesses must have gotten stuck, not just mine. I talk with Shopify multiple times a day, 2–4 times, and they always tell me the same thing: “We have marked your case as high priority. Please keep an eye on your email.”
I have been keeping an eye on my email since October 6th, I swear, but I haven’t received a single email. I have waited a lot. I have provided all the documents to Shopify accurately. At first, I thought maybe this issue was happening because I was an individual seller, so I formed my LLC in the United States, but even then, the same issue is happening.
As you said, the reason for the issue is that orders need to be fulfilled quickly. I want to tell you that one day I received 3 orders, out of which 2 were high-risk orders and 1 was low-risk, all under $2,700. But still, I faced this problem. After that, I was never able to receive payouts. I have refunded all my orders so that none of my customers face any kind of scam or problem.
“What you said is 100% true, but when no one stands with you, you have no choice but to seek advice from others. Still, we will think many times before sharing anything like bank details or any important information. What you said is absolutely right. Thank you so much for informing us and guiding us.”
NO, not for something like this, there’s only two approaches either talk to shopify itself or a lawyer.
Anything else is time wasting fancy setting up false expectations or begging to get scammed.
Or worse trying to make it seem like normal behavior in order to spread a scam vector onto others.
DO NOT RESPOND. Talk to shopify, or a lawyer, smh.
