Hi all.
I was creating my store in development mode now i want to publish it and still claim my 14 day trial. How do i “transfer ownership” for it to go live and still claim my 14 days trial because it seems to be giving only the option to put my credit card of which in not ready yet. The developer email and the owner email are the same.
Please help.

Hi, @ShainingStar !
When transferring a store from a development store, to the client, there is no option to have a free trial. As a Shopify Partner, a development store is a free Shopify account that comes with a few limitations. You can use a development store to set up a Shopify account for a client. In order to transfer ownership and begin selling, billing information must be provided. The new owner will need to enter payment details and select a subscription to complete the transfer and launch their store.
Those that are not a part of our Partner Program do not get to build out their store on a free account, and must start paying our subscription fees after their 14 day free trial expires. This is an advantage of our Partner Program. Therefore, there are no exceptions of offering a free trial after a store has been made through a development plan.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
@ShainingStar
If you want to make your development store live and publish it, then you need to transfer the ownership of the store.
— You can do this by entering your billing information & choosing a subscription plan for your store.
— The best part about being a Shopify Partner is that you can create a development mode store for free.
— However, there is a slight issue while transferring such stores to your clients – they don’t get any 14-day trial period after the transfer.
