Getting sales

Hi everyone, I’ve been running my Shopify store for a month now. I’m running a print on demand business and I’m getting a lot of sessions but no sales yet. I can’t quite figure out why that is. I was wondering if anyone here could take a look at my store and give some feedback. Thanks so much. The store name is: www.niugraphics.com

Hi @Jenny4 ,

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.

I’d be delighted to provide some suggestions for your store to help you further enhance its appeal and attract more customers. Here are a few ideas to consider:

1. Highlight the announcement bar:

I realized that you offer a free ship for 2 items. To make the free shipping offer stand out, consider updating the announcement bar with a more eye-catching color, such as a vibrant red or bold yellow.

2. Add hero banner section

I think we can start with a more focused hero banner, especially for a clothing store. This banner should feature high-quality images of your best-selling or newest collections, styled in a way that resonates with your target audience. Consider including a seasonal theme or current fashion trends to make it more appealing. A clear and engaging call-to-action, such as “Discover Now” or “Explore the Collection,” can guide visitors directly to your product pages, increasing the likelihood of conversions.

3. Add more product image with model on the homepage

Viewing a model wearing the product, especially clothing, can assist potential customers in visualizing how it would look and feel on them. This approach makes the product more relatable and attractive.

4. Product list section

Add “Add to cart button” for all products on the list: This allows customers to easily add products to their cart in just one click, directly from the product list page. It simplifies the buying process by reducing the steps to checkout, resulting in quicker transactions.

5. Our Belief And Goal section

Instead of just having text, images make it more engaging and draw more attention to the information. This makes people more likely to read them.

To further enhance the user experience and draw attention to key elements, you can add a hover state to all buttons on the page.

Like this:

6. Add trust badges section

Trust badges help reassure customers that your store is secure and reliable. You can include badges for secure checkout, money-back guarantees, and partnerships with reputable payment processors. Placing these badges prominently on your site, especially near the checkout button, can increase customer confidence and potentially boost sales.

Overall Recommendations:

  • Improve Engagement: Add some interactive elements like a pop-up for a first-time visitor discount or a newsletter sign-up form.
  • Analyze Traffic: Since you’re getting traffic but no sales, consider using tools like Hotjar to analyze visitor behavior on your site. This might help identify where users drop off or lose interest.

By implementing these suggestions, you should see improvements in your conversion rate. If you have any specific concerns or areas you’d like more feedback on, feel free to ask!

Good luck!

Hi @Jenny4

All the above suggestions are great! I just want to add that your Rewards page is currently blank. It might be worth adding some content there or considering removing the page altogether.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Jenny4 ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I’m Tracyfrom BON: Loyalty Rewards Referrals.

I understand that you are having trouble finding the reason why your store does not convert to sales. After browsing your website, I think the reason behind this is because your store does not look professional enough, and does not have any attractive touchpoints to make visitors interested in exploring and buying stuffs:( I would like to offer some suggestions to enhance its professionalism and overall user experience. Normally, a well-structured website will contain these pages:

1. Homepage
A beautiful homepage is crucial as it serves as the first impression of your brand, capturing visitors’ attention and encouraging them to explore your site further. Currently, your website is completely missing this important page. I suggest you to design and add a homepage (at least with these sections) to your website:

  • Introduction: A compelling homepage with a clear introduction to your brand and products. This should include a hero image or slider showcasing your top products or latest promotions.
  • Navigation Bar: Ensure the navigation bar is prominently placed, with links to all main sections of the site.
  • Call to Action: Use clear call-to-action (CTA) buttons like “Shop Now,” “Learn More,” or “Browse Collections” to guide visitors.

2. Collection page and Product page
These 2 pages are currently your website’s default page. As I see here, you are only showing just some few products on your store. Having only limited products in a collection can pose several issues for an online store, including:

  • Limited Appeal: A limited selection might not cater to the diverse needs and preferences of potential customers, reducing the likelihood of repeat visits and purchases.
  • Perceived Lack of Variety: Customers might perceive the store as lacking variety, which can deter them from browsing or considering the store for future purchases.
  • Reduced Credibility: A sparse product offering can make the store appear less established or professional, potentially undermining customer trust.
  • Challenges in Marketing: With fewer products, it can be challenging to create engaging and varied marketing campaigns, limiting the store’s ability to attract and retain customers.
  • Lower Average Order Value: With fewer products available, customers have fewer options to add to their cart, which can result in a lower average order value and potentially decreased revenue.
That’s the reason why I suggest you to expand the product range on your website, as it offers customers more choices, enhances the store’s credibility, and provides more opportunities for effective marketing and sales.

3. About Us Page

  • Brand Story: Share the story behind your brand, your mission, vision, and values. This helps build a connection with your customers.
  • Team Introduction: Introduce your team members to give a personal touch and build trust (optional).

4. Contact Us Page
I’ll not go in details about this page because you already have it on your website.

5. FAQ Page

  • Common Questions: Address common questions and concerns to provide quick answers and reduce customer inquiries.
  • Policies: Include information on shipping, returns, exchanges, and warranties.

6. Customer Support
You should add a chat support service on your website so that you can answer visitors’ concerns and assist them right away.

To conclude, as per checking here, I think your website is missing some crucial pages that a well-structured website should have. This may be one of the reasons why it cannot convert visitors into sales. I highly recommend you re-design your website to ensure it is polished and fully optimized before increasing visitor traffic. Best wishes for you and your business!

Hi @Jenny4

I checked out your store and totally get where you’re coming from. It’s frustrating to see traffic coming in but no sales. From what I see, your store has a clean design, but there are a few key areas that might be causing the issue. Let’s break it down:

1. Traffic Quality vs. Conversion

Getting sessions is great, but if those visitors aren’t your ideal customers, they won’t buy. Check where your traffic is coming from (Google Analytics & Shopify Reports). If it’s mostly from social media ads or low-intent visitors, you might need to refine your targeting.

2. Product Page Optimization

I noticed your product pages could use more trust-building elements and compelling descriptions. Here’s what you can do:

  • Better product descriptions: Instead of just listing features, explain why the design is unique and how it benefits the buyer.
  • Mockups & real-life images: POD stores rely heavily on good visuals. Make sure the mockups look premium and realistic. Consider adding user-generated content if possible.
  • Customer reviews & testimonials: Right now, I don’t see reviews. New visitors need social proof to trust the quality.

3. Checkout Process & Trust Signals- Shipping details & return policy: Be super clear on shipping times and returns. If customers have doubts, they leave.

  • Trust badges: Adding trust icons (e.g., secure checkout, money-back guarantee) can reassure buyers.
  • Abandoned cart recovery emails: Are you running these? If not, set them up in Shopify to re-engage hesitant customers.

4. Pricing & Offers- Compare your prices with competitors in your niche. If they seem high, a first-time buyer discount might help.

  • Consider bundling or limited-time offers to create urgency.

5. Ad Targeting & Marketing Strategy- Are you running paid ads? If so, check CTR vs. conversion rate. A high click-through but low conversion means the targeting or landing page isn’t working.

  • If you’re relying on organic traffic, are you engaging on Instagram, Pinterest, or TikTok where POD designs perform well?

Quick Fixes to Try Now:

:check_mark: Add more product reviews & testimonials
:check_mark: Improve product descriptions (make them persuasive, not just descriptive)
:check_mark: Check analytics for bounce rate & visitor sources
:check_mark: Use email marketing (abandoned cart, welcome offers, etc.)
:check_mark: Test different ad creatives if running paid ads

Try adjusting these and see if conversions improve. If you need more detailed feedback, feel free to ask!

Best regards,
Daisy.
