Having trouble purchasing a new domain?

Hi

I have a problem buying a new domain.

  • First name must not contain special characters
  • Last name must not contain special characters

When i make a new domain, these sentenses keep appearing. But, i don’t know how to solve this problem.

Please help me.

I’d love to help you with this error. Essentially, you’re running into this message because our domain providers require the billing information to only have characters in the English alphabet. Since this is the case, you need to perform a workaround in order to buy the domain and still have the special characters in your billing address.

The workaround is to temporarily change your billing information to only include English characters until the purchase is completed. You can do this by going to Settings > Store details and editing your billing address and phone number, if necessary. You’ll need to take note of the following details when temporarily updating your information:

  • Ensure there are no special characters (e.g. åäö - ÅÄÖ) in your details. You can temporarily replace them with their counterpart (eg: aao - AAO).
  • Make sure your phone number is written in the correct format.

After you successfully purchase the domain, you can change the characters back in Settings > Store details. It will not affect domain renewals.
