How do I go about getting a refund from a scammer please? I have what i think is an shopify account reference but can’t get to contact shopify about it

Hi Ollie thanks for the message I made a purchase from an online shop
So from what I’ve found online the domain was registered 24.12.23 and was down 31.12.23. I made the purchase 30.01.24 i have received a confirmation email and receipt with tracker number etc but any links just say no longer available. I have received another email telling me that they have had to close due to spiralling costs and supply issues and to get my bank to do a clawback which they seem reluctant to do.

Looking into this, if you have made a purchase from an online store - it would be best to attempt to reach out to the store that you have made a purchase from. As Shopify is a platform that hosts online businesses, we do not manage or ship the orders ourselves. If you are unable to successfully get into contact with the business that you made a purchase from, I would suggest bringing this to the attention of your bank or credit card company. They will have additional processes aimed to retrieve your funds for the purchase you did not receive.
