Howdy!
I previously removed the product description from the Shopify at the request of the store owner. I now need to restore the description and I can’t quite work out where to do it.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with updating products on the shop, to get this resolved. While Shopify does not store information or offer backup capabilities, you can utilize a few tools to restore deleted product details. I recommend referring to our Terms of Service, section 7 for more information on data storage within the platform.
CSV files however, are one tool that can be used to restore product details on the shop. This file can import products into your Shopify store, as well as export products out of the storefront. I recommend checking out our Using CSV Files documentation for more information on how to utilize this tool.
If a copy of the product CSV was exported prior to removing all product descriptions, it can be imported back into the shop to overwrite all current products. If however, a copy was not exported prior to the removal of all product descriptions, you can also use the CSV file to add and/or update those descriptions. This will allow for you to add product details, images, descriptions, etc in bulk to be uploaded into the Shopify admin. We have a great Sample CSV File that can be used as a reference when making adjustments to your own file.
I also recommend checking out the Shopify App Store for available apps that offer backup services. This tool will provide you with the ability to restore certain information moving forward. I’ve gone ahead and suggested a few below you can check out for future use:
