Google currently shows a cart value for every page displayed when someone Googles my website (example below).
How can I get rid of this value? It’s just unnecessary to include for my brand.
Thank you

Go to your Shopify’s Admin
From Online Store click on Preferences
Add a meta description for your store where it says Title and meta description as shown below
It will take a few days in order for google to learn about it.
Thank you for responding, I actually already have that section filled out.
When did you filled it out?
When I first created the store a few years ago
Usually it takes a few days or weeks to update the meta description. I don’t know why in your store it doesn’t show the actual meta description.
When I search your website I get this
It’s important to know that it will rank better and faster if your meta descriptions and titles have essential keywords that are relevant to your website and they rank good. Are you familiar with SEO?
Hey @SamShuter
Your meta description is a recommendation to Google, they are not required to use it. I see you’ve set your meta description to be “Toronto-based Contemporary Fine Artist” but when Google looks at the page, there is no content to support your preferred meta description. When they feel your provided meta description doesn’t match the page, they make up their own.
When I look at your homepage, there is no text at all. So when Google is evaluating your page and deciding what to include as your description for the search result, they are looking for whatever text they deem to be important. Since you have no text, they instead look to the text they can find in your HTML such as your menu items (which includes your cart and cart value).
I recommend adding more helpful text content and improving the on-page SEO for your homepage beyond just linking to your products and a video.
