How to fix discount code error for buy 2, get 1 at 50% off deal?

Hi there! I encountered an issue while setting up a discount. We’re currently testing a campaign for a specific product where customers can buy 2 of that product and receive 50% off the third item of the same product. However, when I was configuring the code and conducting a test, I encountered an error stating, “The discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart.”

In the settings, I configured it such that the customer must purchase 3 of the selected specific product. Under “Customers Get,” I chose 1 item and applied a 50% discount, again selecting the same product.

Could the issue be that the discount code doesn’t work because I’ve selected the same product for both the purchase requirement and the discount?

Hey @Liisi ,
If you want your customers to get the 3rd product for 50% off, you just need to reduce the minimum quantity to 2 (instead of 3) in the discount editor. When the customer chooses the 3rd product, it will be at a 50% discount.

Also make sure to combine your discount with product discounts in the discount editor (only if you have a discounted item).

@Liisi Instead of adding 3 products, add 4 and try.

as can see, you have set the quantity 3 in buy section and 1 quantity in get section.
