I Bought A Domain But I Get an Error That Says "A Store With That Domain Name Already Exists"

I bought a domain using ionos a couple days ago and it wont let me connect it. Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks

As Nick mentioned, @moiz2 , you’ll need to get in touch with our Shopify Live Support team so that we can take a look at connecting the domain from our end. For more information, the error message that you see can sometimes occur if the domain was ever set up on another store. We have a forum post here if you’d like further reading about this.

Once your domain issues are resolved, it’s also a good idea to set up a custom domain email address if you haven’t already done so. This will allow your business to appear more professional, which will then strengthen trust with prospective customers. While Shopify doesn’t currently offer email hosting natively on our platform, if you’re just starting out, a popular choice to help with setting up your custom email address is Zoho Mail. Otherwise, Google Workspace is also a commonly used provider for hosting your custom email.
