Hi!
I have a Shopify account and store registered in Singapore, although we target global customers. We want to get started with Pinterest Advertising yet I can’t seem to be able to install the Pinterest App as Singapore is not a supported country. Is changing the address to the US and installing the app before changing the address back to our own a viable and legal option? Pls help!
thank you

Hello @elvnxyz ,
Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
Changing the address of your Shopify store to a different country solely for the purpose of installing an app may not be a viable or legal option. This is because Shopify has specific policies in place to prevent users from falsely representing their location in order to access apps that are not available in their region.
Additionally, Pinterest’s advertising policies and guidelines vary by country, so even if you were able to install the app by changing your address, you may not be able to use the advertising features in Singapore without violating Pinterest’s policies.
Instead, you can explore other advertising options that are available in Singapore, such as Facebook and Google Ads, or consider using a Pinterest-approved third-party tool that integrates with Shopify and provides advertising capabilities. These tools may offer similar or even better functionality than the official Pinterest app.
Alternatively, you can reach out to Pinterest’s customer support team and inquire about the availability of the app in Singapore or any potential alternatives they may have for advertisers in your region.
