Hi @DustEmberCo
Welcome to the community. The first piece of advice is to learn from the experience of other merchants here. There are a lot of topics; just search for âno salesâ or âzero salesâ as well as âstore feedbackâ. And you will find that people have some issues, as you have, and some of the solutions can help you. So spend some time on it.
But in general, your store is very basic. You have products, some collections, about us page, and some product descriptions. That is nowhere near enough, even if you have stellar marketing and massive followers on social networks. You have very little text, and text is what you need for SEO so you get searched by some words.
For me, big issue is your choice for body text font, it is very hard to read. I had to change it in developer tools so I could read whole Our story page. and on about us page I did not find anything about you as human being. Plus no contact information, except for Gmail. Like one member recently said, " if I see Gmail, first thought is scammers" So not professional. And no address, phone, business information. Zero trust.
I mean ask your self, from customer perspective, âdo I trust this store?â And while you at it, also, think what is unique about your store, and why would anyone choose your store when same products can be found. Dropshipping, printing is a difficult.
Also 2,717 sessions is a good start, but you should check and know how many sessions are real people and what are different bots.
Again, spend some time searching the forum, you will learn a lot.
Still I do wish you luck. And hope sales do come.
Hey @DustEmberCo!
Iâve just take a look to your store, and I highly appreciate the efforts that you put into it to create this store.
Upon checking your store is average, itâs not too bad and not too attractive. You can consider the middle numbers regarding the layout scores. Upon deeply checking Iâve some feedback that I want to share with you.
I see that your store home page consist of just 3-4 dummy sections which donât make any sense. In that case you need to use the banner images, discount offers etc. But unfortunately your store has lack of these things.
Font Family play a very big role in the CRO. But I see youâre using the stylish font family, which is doesnât make any sense for a clothing store. Make sure to use the simple fonts like Popins or Arial.
Product Page Optimization is another one of the important key element for a E-commerce site. It should be enough optimized so that customers can purchase the products without any trust issue. So, make sure to optimize your store product page with offers, UPS and Bundles.
I hope, this is enough feedback for your store. If you need any help regarding your store CRO optimization or redesigning then, just reach me out.
Hi @DustEmberCo
For starters, your home page is bare. You have a short description and then New Arrivals.
Try adding reviews, collections, and more information.
Then, your product descriptions look like they were written by a drop shipping website. Try adding some personality.
A better way to a showcase your products would be to create an image with all your designs. Then, use an app like, Shoppable Image Hotspots to link to every product in the image.
Its a more clean way to showcase your products and can display them without visitors having to click through product pages.
Ads are working, store is not. Your Facebook ads are doing their job by bringing traffic. Now the store needs to finish the job by needs to clearly guide them and give them confidence to buy
You are doing one thing right already. Traffic is coming in. So this is not an ad problem first. It is a conversion problem.
2,700+ sessions with zero sales usually points to trust and clarity gaps. When visitors land, they need to understand three things fast: what you sell, why it is better, and why they should trust you.
Hi @DustEmberCo
Currently, it seems like just another POD store with no clear identity. Your WHY factor isnât highlighted at all. When someone clicks from Facebook and lands on Dust & Ember Co, they need to immediately understand why they should buy from you instead of scrolling past. What makes your brand special? Whatâs the story behind the designs? Who are you creating for? Right now thereâs no compelling hook, so people bounce.
Your SEO isnât proper at all. Even though youâre running Facebook ads now, organic search should be a long-term traffic source. Optimize everything so people searching for your style of products can find you without paying for every click.
Show people theyâre not buying ordinary products, theyâre buying a feeling. Whether itâs apparel, home goods, or gifts, POD succeeds when it connects emotionally. Your designs should mean something, represent a lifestyle, express identity. Make that emotional connection clear in your messaging and imagery.
Your cart is redirecting people to a separate page when they add something. Thatâs killing conversions from your Facebook traffic. Switch to a slider cart that opens on the same page. Keep people engaged in browsing mode instead of disrupting them with redirects.
Add a progress bar showing how close they are to free shipping or a discount. When Facebook impulse shoppers see theyâre close to a threshold, they might add another item. Show complementary products in that cart. Someone adds a tshirt, show them matching items or other designs. Help them see what else you have without navigating away.
Donât install separate apps for cart features. Something like iCart handles all your cart customization like product recommendation (upsells), progress bar, discounts, bundles, and more in one place, keeps costs down while youâre trying to get profitable.
Facebook ad traffic with zero conversions usually means either your targeting is completely off, your creative doesnât match whatâs on your site, or your store has serious trust and positioning issues. Based on what Iâm seeing, itâs the store. Generic POD stores with no brand story donât convert paid traffic.
Define your WHY clearly, build brand identity beyond âPOD store,â switch to slider cart with progress bar and recommendations, fix your SEO, and create emotional connection in your messaging. Get a few organic sales to prove the store converts before spending another dollar on Facebook ads. Right now youâre just paying to learn what doesnât work.
Interesting bio⌠Too bad itâs a complete lie. Canât fool us though⌠This is what youâre really doing:
POD dropshipping. Thatâs exactly what this image is. Printify, right? I would be disappointed in mankind if they did fall for this âIâm a real company with real equipmentâ b.s.
If you canât give your customers the basic dignity of not being lied to, what good is that? You need to do some studying on the many merchants that come here wondering why theyâre not getting sales. And yall are doing the exact same thingâŚ.
Hi @DustEmberCo ,
Why sales may not be happening yet:
⢠Homepage headline is welcoming but not benefit-driven (why buy this brand?)
⢠No strong trust signals (reviews, guarantees, social proof)
⢠Product pages are long but key selling points arenât highlighted clearly
⢠SEO basics are incomplete (keywords missing, robots tag not defined)
⢠Too many color options at once can cause decision overload
Quick improvements to test:
⢠Add a clear value proposition above the fold
⢠Add reviews / âWhy choose usâ section
⢠Move key benefits, shipping info, and guarantees closer to âAdd to cartâ
⢠Simplify product pages (bullet points for fit, material, shipping)
⢠Improve SEO titles & keywords for homepage and products
Hello and thank you for your feedback, it does seem you have poked around the site but did not fully look around. On the main page you see this
Clearly states everything is made to order (not drop shipped) and right there in your screenshot it states I have the xTool apparel printer. So it would seem that I am not infact drop shipping, while printify was used for some of the mockups they are not used in the printing or delivery of anything I make. Nothing in the bio is a lie I can assure you.
Hi @DustEmberCo
Thank you for clearing that out, but you may see how your store looks like dropshipping one. I searched a few items, and got several hits on Etsy and other places, plus that hoodies page looks bad, with all bad AI-generated images. At least try a better model. That is why it does not look unique.
And to be frank, it does say that in hero banner, but I could have skipped that as it is a lot of text and not too distinct. Maybe think to put one line sentence only and below the hero banner, add icon/text section with : made by us in.., best machines, quality, customer servise. Then another section to explain the process of order > Print > delivery all by you. So do say not a dropshipping.
And use that as an advantage if you can add some videos of the process too.
Hi there @DustEmberCo you should include a section for best sellers on the homepage.
I also think bundles (especially for the tees) would work really well for your store- so you should definitely look into that too.
Lastly, add some FAQs on the storeâs homepage to provide clarity for subject matters that would be of interest to your customers.
I have seen your Shopify website www.dustemberco.com it is good website. But even 2,717 sessions in past 30 days and use of Facebook ads, ultimately no sales.
Here are my some my honest suggestions which will 100% help you to improve the site and customer experience and sales:
1 - Try to increase your website using White Hat SEO with organic way.
2- Do not use Facebook Ads. It will waste your money and time.
3- Use Organic way White Hat SEO, genuine Technical SEO.
4- User Genuine text contents. Do not use AI Generated contents.
5 - Many people do not trust a new website. So to authentication and improve trust you must show your company email at the top of website. Do you know why I am telling you to email and not phone, because many more people do not want to call or share their phone. On the other hand many people only talk via email. So EMAIL is very important.
6- Do not use double person in product image for ex: in this product âAlaska Leopard Tie-Dye Map Tee â âAlaskaâ Graphic T-Shirt Regular price $20.00â. Customer will confuse that you are selling 2 T-Shirt. When they try to buy it and see only single T-Shirt they will quit. Because they think you cheating them. It is philosophy of human. Try to understand philosophy. See below:
7- At initial stage provide some discount for ex: Alaska Leopard Tie-Dye Map Tee â âAlaskaâ Graphic T-Shirt Regular price 10% Discount of $20.00, Real price $18.00. It will establish you in market. This little change will change human mind.
8- Do not use too much Facebook Ads. Use Organic way White Hat SEO. User Genuine text contents. Do not use AI Generated contents.
9- You are serious about Refund Policy! Why I am saying that because at this page Refund policy â Dust & Ember Co. your matter formatting is too much bad. No one will trust on you and your website and your policy and your product. Bullet are shows other place, Matter is show other place. see here. Treat your website same as your home. Do you make your home bad? They why your website is having bad formatting?
10 - When people visit your website they will think, you are selling threads and bobbins. Why I am saying because you use 2 banner images of bobbins and threads. Try to read philosophy of human. **Use better Good T-Shirts images. See image:
**
11- Your home page and product page Largest Contentful Paint is 4.0 s and 11.s. Try to reduce it. and improve the speed of homepage and product page.
**I can help you if need to improve the speed and Largest Contentful Paint
12- There are many more suggestions. If you want professional I am ready for that.
Hi DustEmberCo,
Here are some of my thoughts:
Looking at your store, youâre selling apparel in a pretty competitive space. With so many options out there, customers need a reason to buy from YOU instead of somewhere else.
One powerful way to stand out is by offering product personalization. Instead of selling the same products everyone else has, let customers make it their own:
-
Add custom text (names, dates, quotes)
-
Upload their own photos or designs
-
Choose colors, fonts, styles, cliparts, etc.
Why this works:
-
Personalized products have higher perceived value: customers are willing to pay more
-
Emotional connection: theyâre creating something unique
-
Less comparison shopping: they canât find âtheirâ design elsewhere
If youâre interested, Teeinblue Product Personalizer can help you add this to your store. Customers see a live preview of their personalized product, which builds confidence and increases conversions!
Just a thought to consider, personalization could be the edge you need to turn that traffic into sales!
Best of luck! ![]()
Hi @DustEmberCo , I took a quick look at your store and traffic numbers, and there are definitely some things you can refine to help turn sessions into sales. Your homepage has strong visuals and clear categories, but visitors may need more confidence and clearer purchase triggers for example, stronger hero messaging that tells people why your products are worth buying, social proof like customer reviews, and clearer calls-to-action early on in the page so visitors know what to do next. Reviewing product pages to ensure high-quality photos, detailed benefit-focused descriptions, and prominent trust signals (like reviews or testimonials or even affiliates) can help, plus making sure the shopping experience is fast and seamless on mobile. Mobile experience is crucial since most Shopify traffic now comes from phones. These types of tweaks often help improve the quality of engagement, not just traffic, which is a big driver of conversions.
Hey @DustEmberCo,
Congrats on opening up your store!
Have you ever thought about adding something interactive to your website? It can be a fun way for shoppers to connect with products and feel more confident in their decision.
For example, showing your tumblers in a 3D viewer directly on the site could let customers rotate and explore each piece up close. Iâve been seeing more brands try this lately, especially as these tools have become more accessible and lightweight for websites.
Offering that kind of experience could help you stand out and give your brand a modern, tech-savvy feel.
Hoping to see your store grow!
