About 2 weeks ago I thought I closed my shopify store by clicking close store. Shopify tried to bill me today. I’m having difficulty finding a direct contact for shopify. I want to make sure the plan is cancelled. The email support@shopify.com doesn’t work.

It sounds as though the store wasn’t fully cancelled. If an invoice has been issued but failed, you can always try to close the account again and the store will automatically close if payment has failed 3 times. You should be able to close the account by selecting Settings > Plans and permissions > Sell or close my store > close my store or as shown in this guide.
If you would prefer us to cancel the store, I’d need to raise this further to our Accounts team for security reasons. I’ve just sent you an email privately to help authenticate the account. Please reply back to that email if you would like for me to proceed with the cancellation.
In regards to the support@shopify.com email address, you are correct, this is no longer an active address we use. To contact our email, live chat, Twitter or Facebook support, please contact us through our Help Centre instead.
