Why is my online store getting traffic but no sales?

Hi

My store is dakshinfort.com

I see i get a lot of traffic. I use a rewind software to see what customers see.. Still i have not had a single sale since i started 4 months now…i worry if there is a problem.,.can someone help me out here

Thank you for sharing your store with us. I understand that you are having some problems converting your traffic to sales. I was able to review your store and I do have some feedback to share with you about it.

My overall impression is that of low customer trust. I can see a lot of small things that add up over the course of the shopping experience that can really effect your customer trust and their desire to purchase from you. I’ve included a detailed list of what I noticed during my review. Please note, these are just suggestions and my opinion. You have every right to disagree or choose not to follow it. :slightly_smiling_face:

My suggestions:

  • You really need higher quality images of the gemstones you are selling. The images are pixelated and blurry, making it hard to see any imperfections or check the quality of the product.
  • I would recommend having someone proofread your copy (the written text on the store) for grammar, punctuation and spelling. Regardless if English is your first language or not, proper spelling and grammar is incredibly important for a trustworthy site. I highly recommend using a tool like www.wordtune.com to help with that.
  • Increase quality of the banner images on the store. The slideshow at the top of the store has a banner image with placeholder text still on it and the banner images you have lower down on the home page do not fit the banner space properly.

I would really look at the overall quality of your website content and make sure it meets the same exacting standards I am sure you have in place for these gem stones! Customers will expect that from a site that deals in these types of goods. I recommend reviewing other online stores for retail gem sellers to see how they have branded their stores.

Adding the previous comment, I’d recommend you Sales Booster. I had the same problem some time ago, and it helped me. This app has all the necessary promo tools. Maybe your visitors just need a push?
