Hey today i started shopify and i accidently purchased a domain name for 25 dollars and now i’m panicking and i can’t deactivate my account because it is locked and i just want to get my account deleted and my card details off the thing so i don’t have shopify anymore and don’t have to pay, please someone help me i’m scared asf.
Please follow this steps
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
- Click Deactivate store.
- If applicable, review the options to switch to the Pause and build plan, or start a new store.
- If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.
- Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.

You can get in touch with our live support by attempting to login to your online store using the Contact Us page. This will allow us to verify you as the store owner.
Once you successfully login, or select the option to Continue without logging in - you will be directed to the Help Center. Select the topic that you would like assistance with to locate the options to Get Support and speak with a Support Advisor about the situation.

Let me explain exactly, i had shopify on my phone and computer and i paid on the computer and i also logged in on my phone. Then i tried to deactivate the account on computer which didn’t work so i went on my phone and deleted my actual account which i think could have deleted the stores which is what i want and now my account is locked. Now that it’s locked it shouldn’t keep paying should it?
I deactivated my store but will it continue to keep taking money out of my account? I was on the $1 for 3 months plan and only started yesterday

If you have deactivated your online store this will also cancel your subscription. With that being said, if you have navigated to Settings > Plan and select Deactivate store, you will not receive any future subscription charges.
