Hi, I recently purchased a plan with shopify for my store and I purchased a personal domain. Both the charge for the store and domain went through. A verification email was sent to my email address in which I must click a link, but it did not work. A few days later I check and it turns out it says my website is unavailable without any way to fix it. I have contacted support twice and they, both times, were unable to contact my email directly other than the automatic transcript logs after a conversation has ended. I still have not been able to get any access to my website’s dashboard due to this and it says it is inactive. Can I please be helped to resolve this issue.

If the verification link you received in your email doesn’t function properly, please verify the email for any typing mistakes or errors in the link. Additionally, ensure that you click on the link within the specified timeframe, as such links may expire after a certain period. Should the issue persist, kindly reach out to Shopify’s customer support for assistance.
If you haven’t done so already, you can send an email to Shopify’s support team explaining the problem you’re experiencing. Remember to include all relevant details such as your store name, domain, and any error messages you’re encountering. It’s important to note that email support may have longer response times compared to live chat or phone support, but it can serve as a helpful alternative method of communication.
When your website shows as “unavailable,” it could be due to various reasons. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
-
Clear Your Cache: Ensure you are viewing the most recent version of your website by clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Cached data can sometimes hinder proper access to your site.
-
Check Your Domain Settings: Validate that your domain is accurately connected to your Shopify store. Access your Shopify admin dashboard, go to “Online Store” > “Domains,” and confirm that your domain is listed and configured correctly.
-
Verify DNS Settings: Ensure that your domain’s DNS settings are correctly set up. Contact your domain registrar or hosting provider to confirm if the necessary DNS records are accurately configured to point to your Shopify store.
-
Temporary Outage: It is possible that Shopify is experiencing temporary technical difficulties. Typically, such issues are resolved on their end within a brief period. You can visit the Shopify Status Page or contact their support to check for any ongoing issues.
Consider reaching out to Shopify’s official social media channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook) and sending them a direct message explaining your situation. Sometimes, companies are more responsive on social media platforms, and they might be able to assist you or escalate your issue internally.
Let me know if you require any further guidance.
