Why do I STILL have zero sales?

I previously posted here asking the same question, but that was more than a month ago and I changed a lot of stuff on the website since. I STILL have zero sales. My items go very well in retail stores, just no website purchases. So something must be wrong about the website.

Hi @Tellwho

I checked your previous topic, and there are several people who gave good advice that you have not yet applied. And I will not repeat them but let me ask you something.

When customers enter a retail store, do you leave them alone and watch on screen from the back room, for example? Most likely not. So your homepage is like that, and the collection page is almost the same. You just presented products, not yourself, no “hello”, no asking " how can I help you", or “we have great necklaces”.

So, at least give some title before some products, less than now on the homepage. About us page, copy to a new section (image/text) on both the home and product page. You need more text also, way to signal to search engines but to customers too. More on process of making also, with some more images, or videos.

You do have very unique products, so that is a plus, but you have to bring customers first and then to keep them, guide them, and as others said, with more trust signals, lead to sales.

But also, what do you do outside the store, active on social networks? More videos/images with people in them, maybe.

Try to split products to collections, so even if it’s just one product in a collection, add it. But then each collection page can have its own description, more text for SEO.

Good luck and keep working, sales will come.

If you haven’t already, do spend some time searching in the community for “no sales”. A lot of topics, people in the same situation but also a lot of good advice, some that you can apply to your store. But not just some paid apps, but more advice on content,SEO…

By taking a look into your Store I found lot of issues but the best suggestions I can provide are listed below. The suggestions is the best Answer of why are you not getting any sale.

From my POV you should optimize the Product page. It’s the important part of the site. And though the product page sales happens. If you optimize the product page in a way that it’s look appealing for the customers then it means you are winning the customers. If you have a idea to winning the customers then it mean your store will generate sale automatically. Here are the best suggestions to generate more sales by optimizing the product page.

  • Use Bundles: Product Bundles is the best way to increase the conversion rate and generate more sales. There are many free apps you can consider for the Bundles. Like some are below. Like AMP Bundles.

  • Use UGC Videos: UGC videos is the only best way to win the trust of the customer. See how this store using the UGC videos :backhand_index_pointing_right:: Paper Straight And in this way they are generating a lot of sales.

  • Use UPS and Stock Alert: Using the ups and the stock alert is another way to generate more sales. See image below how it looks like.

By following the above all methods you can ensure to get more sales on your store and generate revenue.

If this was helpful don’t forget to like it and Mark as Solution.

There seems to be a lack of continuity between your website contact, this Etsy account https://www.etsy.com/shop/ZepterCabinetUS?ref=condensed_trust_header_title_sold#about and several other factors like where the website domain was registered. In this case, all three of these say completely different states. This would send an immediate red flag to anyone who looks.

If by chance your website is not connected to the Etsy account above, then I think you have much bigger issues than sales. Hope you get it figured out.

On top of what @Howie10 said – if this it indeed your Etsy account, how your sales there are doing?

It could be that your Etsy store/sales cannibalise your online store – people may prefer familiar and more trusted environment to make their purchases, especially since prices are about 40% higher on your site with the same Free US shipping:

I agree with @tim_1 the prices should be more or less the same on all your platforms, minus specialized sales and promotions. It would make things more congruent. I was actually shocked at the difference, that’s why I was like is that really your Etsy shop? Twice as much just doesn’t make sense mate.

I took a look at your site and I must say that from my point of view a customer I felt the store was lacking contrast, incentives like a SALE, the product page feels empty. Just a little sentence saying that the item is made out of silver.

When I first saw the collection page I didn’t know the items were made out of silver. This is something you may want to highlight right off the bat.

This store feels like a niche store targeting specific type of shoppers. Maybe like “rock music” lovers? I saw a necklace, a shirt, the eye ring. Things didn’t connect in my head as a shopper. I think you need to define your audience and try to target them with google ads or something. The store feels very niche-oriented rather than open to the “general public”.

That is my 2 cents from a potential shopper’s perspective. I wanted to be concise and straight-to-the point.

Apologies if you find this somehow harsh..

Shopify store owners grow their sales using smart strategies like ads, store optimization, and product positioning and I’d suggest running an audit for your store, from there what is wrong with the store will be known, then you correct it, before investing a lot in ads.

Hi, @Tellwho

I understand it’s very frustrating not to get sales online. My recommendation will be:

  1. Use high quality product images.
  2. Try to be active on social media and start creating content about your products.
  3. Paid promotion via social media ads.

One of my client generating 30+ orders daily only from instagram ads.

Hey @Tellwho,

The main thing I’d recommend is improving the cart experience. Right now, your store could benefit from a simple slide cart drawer. This would allow you to show things like product bundles, upsells, and even a progress bar to let customers know how close they are to a discount or free shipping. These small additions can really help nudge people to complete their purchases.

SEO is also an area that needs work. Even basic SEO elements like meta titles, descriptions, and headings are key for improving visibility and getting your site found by the right customers.

If you’re looking for an easy solution to handle upselling, cross-selling, bundles, and a progress bar all in one, tools like iCart can help you set this up without the need for multiple apps. It keeps the checkout process smooth while giving you the ability to optimize for conversions.

With these changes, you should be in a better position to turn those website visitors into buyers. Good luck!

If he doesn’t get any visitors in the website then who will use the cart and the upsell?

Looking at the store, I feel the website seems a bit empty and lacks personalization and social signals like reviews and UGC. The font color is also a bit hard to read. In my opinion, the homepage looks quite empty. Try adding a personal touch, such as your location or headquarters, because people like to buy from people, and they should be able to see that others are buying as well.

When you say that your items sell well in retail stores, are they mostly impulse buys, or do people specifically look for them? Just wondering what you’re doing in terms of marketing.

That’s why I’ve mentioned that “SEO is also an area that needs work.”

Yes. He should prioritize this part.

Hello @Tellwho,

I really love the jewelry you’re selling! Have you ever thought about adding something interactive to your website? It could be a fun way for people to really connect with your products.

Imagine your jewelry shown in 3D Viewer right on the site, shoppers could rotate and explore each piece up close. Features like that used to be super expensive, but now they’ve become way more accessible and affordable for small businesses too.

For the price point of your products, offering that kind of experience could really help you stand out and give your brand a modern, tech-savvy vibe.

Wishing you luck!
