Good afternoon

I am still waiting for shopify to verify my domain. Go daddy has sent the relevant information but it keeps telling me that I am not connected and yet to be verified. Also when I went to the live chat it keeps telling me to update my details which I have done so then went to emails but the same thing happened - update details. That is why I have come here. Can anybody help me on this one. Thank you in advance
Hello @Rosa2899 ,
Greetings from SynapseIndia, and we are glad to help you today.
If you receive a message that a third-party domain is connected to another store, then you need to verify domain ownership to fully connect the domain to your store. You can verify the domain automatically or manually.
It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be verified. After it’s verified, your domain is listed as connected on the Domains page.
If you purchased your domain from Google Domains, GoDaddy, or 1&1 IONOS, then you can connect your domain to Shopify automatically. When you connect your third-party domain to Shopify automatically, the domain is verified for domain ownership.
Verify domain ownership automatically
Steps:
Verify domain manually
To verify domain ownership manually, a unique TXT record needs to be added to the domain’s Domain Name System (DNS) settings.
Before you begin, make sure that the third-party domain provider is properly set up to connect to Shopify.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the DNS settings for your domain. To connect your domain to Shopify, you’ll need to verify that you own the domain by adding a DNS record to your domain’s DNS settings. The specific steps for adding the DNS record will depend on where your domain is registered and how it’s currently managed.
If you are not sure how to do that, you can check the following links for more information on connecting a custom domain to your Shopify store.

These articles provide detailed instructions on how to connect your custom domain to Shopify, including how to verify your domain ownership.
Also, you can always reach out to Shopify support team if you face any issues or have any other questions.

Hi There. Thank you for the info. None of that worked as when I chose connect automatically Go Daddy did not come up so I contacted them and they have sorted it our there end.
Hi @Rosa2899
Welcome to the Shopify Community!
I understand that you were having some issues with trying to connect your GoDaddy domain to Shopify. However, it appears that you have now managed to resolve this issue. I am glad to hear that all is now well with your connected domain.
It is certainly interesting that the connect automatically option didn’t work for you, as generally that is a valid option for GoDaddy domains. You mentioned that you contacted them and they have sorted it - was this GoDaddy support who did this for you? Or did our own Shopify Support team help you out with this?
Now that you have your custom domain connected to your store, have you thought about how you might use it to target different international markets? With Shopify Markets and international domains, you can set up localized shopping experiences. Generally speaking, customers are much more likely to make a purchase on your store if the storefront is localized in their language and even currency. By attracting customers from other countries and regions you can build your reputation as an international brand. There are some considerations to keep in mind when it comes to international domains which are outlined on our help center here.
I too am having this issue. I have went to all the steps to connect with google domains, but it has been longer than 48 hours and it’s not verified. In fact, the doesn’t even list it as veryifying anymore. Please help so I can start using my store. the domain is gadgetuniverse.net

Hi @echopulse
Thanks for joining in here - welcome to the Shopify Community!
I understand that you are experiencing some difficulty connecting your Google domain to your Shopify store - I’d be happy to assist!
With a Google domain, you should be able to connect it automatically to your store. We have some information here on how to do that. Can you confirm if you have followed along with these steps already?
Perhaps you have connected the domain to your store manually by editing the DNS settings yourself, and you are now experiencing some issues? Would it be possible to explain what it says in the Settings > Domains section of your admin - are you seeing any errors or warning messages there in relation to this gadgetuniverse.net domain?
I checked the DNS settings for this domain, and from what I can tell the domain is correctly pointing towards the Shopify servers. Generally any DNS edits would have propagated after 48 hours, so I wouldn’t expect the A Record or CNAME on the DNS setup to be at fault here, however there could be other issues. If you haven’t done so already, it would be a good idea to check in with the domain admin area on your Google domains account to make sure all looks OK there.
Please feel free to reply with some more information and we can troubleshoot this further.
